AI Feature Disclaimer

This AI Feature Disclaimer (“Disclaimer”) forms part of the AstroKolly Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. It explains how the artificial-intelligence (“AI”) powered features within the app work, what data they process, and what they cannot do.

Please read it alongside our full Privacy Policy before using any AI Feature.

Purpose: Ask Kolly produces natal chart readings, technique-based readings (solar return, progressions, solar arc, transits), compatibility and relationship observations, horary question readings, and self-reflection prompts. These are provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only.

The AI Feature is not a licensed counselling, therapy, medical, legal, or financial service.

Inputs: When you interact with the AI Feature, the app may send the following to an AI language-model processor: astrological data calculated from your date, time and place of birth (planet, sign, house and aspect positions); the relationship status stated in your profile; the birth details and relationship type of people you have added; saved charts you select; the moment and location of a horary question; the messages in your current session; and your selected language.

The AI Feature does not receive your name, email address, payment details, device identifiers, or precise location unless you type them into a chat message yourself.

Outputs: Responses are generated in real time by a large language model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or culturally unsuitable, are not reviewed by a human before being shown to you, are not a substitute for professional psychological, medical or legal advice, and are for personal, non-commercial use within the app only.

AI can hallucinate: it may generate plausible-sounding but factually incorrect statements. Do not rely on it for factual matters.

No memory between sessions: Ask Kolly conversations are not stored. The moment you close the window the conversation is gone and the model does not remember previous chats.

No real-time information: the underlying model has a training data cut-off and no access to current news, events, or live data. Sky calculations come from our astrological calculation engine, not from the AI.

Entertainment only: relationship, career, intimacy and timing suggestions are for inspiration and self-reflection — not clinical or professional guidance.

You control what you share: avoid typing sensitive personal data (health details, financial information, full legal name, passwords) into any AI chat field.

It is not a registered or regulated mental-health service, a medical device or diagnostic tool, a legal adviser, a financial adviser, a crisis intervention service, or an emergency service.

Legal basis — UK: Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR, performance of a contract (providing the AI Feature you requested). Turkey: KVKK Article 5(2)(c), necessary for the performance of a contract. United States: no federal AI-specific legal basis is mandated; processing is based on your consent to the Terms of Service and contractual necessity, and we comply with applicable state privacy laws including the CCPA/CPRA.

What is sent to the AI processor: in-session conversation messages, astrological parameters derived from your birth data, the person or saved chart you select, your language preference, and a non-identifying session token that expires at session end. No name, email, device ID or payment data is sent unless you type it yourself.

Retention: in-session conversation text is not stored by AstroKolly and is discarded when the session ends. The AI processor deletes data per its data-processing agreement and does not retain it beyond the session. Your profile data, added people and saved charts are kept until you delete them or close your account.

Third-party AI processor: AstroKolly currently uses OpenAI models through our infrastructure provider's AI gateway. The processor handles data solely on our documented instructions and under a data-processing agreement that prohibits use of your data to train its models. Transfers are made under UK GDPR-compliant safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism).

We may change AI processor in the future. If we do so in a way that materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app and update this Disclaimer before the change takes effect.

No automated decision-making with legal effect: the AI Feature does not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you. All outputs are suggestions; no action is taken on your account automatically.

We do not intentionally collect special category data (health, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, etc.) through the AI Feature. Please do not enter such data into AI chat fields.

If you do so voluntarily, you consent to it being processed as described in this Disclaimer, but we recommend against it.

If you share information about another person (a partner, family member or friend) in Ask Kolly or when adding people: you must have a legitimate reason to share it, you should not share information the other person would reasonably expect to remain private, and you remain responsible for respecting the privacy of third parties.

UK and Turkey: under UK GDPR and KVKK you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Because conversation data is not retained beyond the active session, most erasure requests relating to AI conversations are satisfied by ending your session. For data held in your profile, use the in-app settings or contact us.

California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Other US states (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana and others with enacted privacy legislation): you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete and opt out of certain processing. Contact us at legal@mykolly.com to exercise these rights; we respond to verifiable requests within 45 days.

FTC disclosure: in accordance with Federal Trade Commission guidelines, AI-generated compatibility and relationship insights provided by this app are for entertainment purposes only and do not represent factual assessments of any person.

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through an in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the AI Feature after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclaimer.

To protect service quality and prevent misuse, the AI Feature is subject to question credits, rate limits and usage policies.

We reserve the right to suspend access for users who attempt to circumvent safety filters, extract training data, or use the feature for any unlawful purpose.

Remember: Ask Kolly is for entertainment and self-reflection. It is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or source of factual truth. If you are struggling emotionally, please reach out to a qualified professional.

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes arising from it are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in it limits any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the laws of your country or state of residence.
