What AstroKolly is and how it works

Charts calculated from real sky data, written up in plain everyday language.

AstroKolly is an astrology app that calculates your birth chart from real ephemeris data and explains the result in everyday language. Our goal is not prediction; it is to lay out planetary positions, house placements and aspects clearly so you can relate them to your own life.

Who we are

AstroKolly is operated by Mykolly Limited, registered in the United Kingdom. The team is a small group working across software development, editorial content and astrology practice. Everything in the product — the calculation engine, the writing and the design — is produced in-house.

How we calculate

Every chart is computed from ephemeris data using your birth date, time and coordinates. We use the Placidus house system, and aspect orbs vary by technique. Transit, solar return, lunar return, progressed, solar arc, draconic and profection techniques are each interpreted by their own rules; no single technique is presented as a final verdict.

  • If the birth time is unknown, house-based readings are not reliable and we say so on the page.
  • Readings are tied to the actual calculated positions; no random text is generated.
  • AI-assisted sections are always labelled as such.

What we offer

  • Daily sky: Moon sign and house, void-of-course hours, the day's aspects and a transit reading.
  • Chart generation: natal, transit, solar return, lunar return, progressed, solar arc, draconic, profection.
  • A long-form natal chart report and a year-ahead analysis.
  • Relationship compatibility through synastry and composite reports.
  • Ask Kolly: a chat interface that reads your chart, plus horary questions.
  • Guides and blog: free articles explaining what each technique means.

Our limits

Frequently asked questions

What is AstroKolly?

AstroKolly is a bilingual astrology app that calculates your birth chart from real ephemeris data and interprets it in everyday language. It covers natal, progressed, solar arc, solar return, lunar return, synastry, composite, Davison, transit and astrocartography charts, and answers personal and horary questions through its AI assistant, Kolly.

Is AstroKolly free?

Today's energy, the daily reading, void-of-course Moon hours, transits, the natal chart drawing, the blog and the guides are free. In Ask Kolly the first question is free for registered users and further questions are sold in packs. The yearly analysis report and the in-depth synastry report are paid, with the price shown before purchase.

How are the charts calculated and is the data accurate?

Planetary positions are computed from real ephemeris data using your birth date, time and the coordinates of your birth city. Houses, aspects and orbs follow classical astrological rules, and astrocartography lines are derived from Greenwich sidereal time and the planets' right ascension and declination.

Are my questions to Kolly stored?

No. Kolly conversations are not stored; closing the tab or window deletes the conversation entirely.

Which countries can I check in astrocartography?

You can search 244 countries and more than 7,000 cities. In large countries such as the United States you can filter by state or region and see which planetary line passes how many kilometres from each city.
