Natal Chart

The sky at the moment you were born — the master blueprint for your personality, love language, and life themes.

Your natal chart is a snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born. Enter your birth date, time and city and AstroKolly calculates planetary degrees, house cusps and the full aspect network from real ephemeris data — the blueprint of your character, love language and life themes.

What is a natal chart?

A natal (birth) chart is a circular map showing the signs and degrees of the planets at your exact time and place of birth. The Sun, Moon and rising sign form its backbone: the Sun describes your conscious identity, the Moon your emotional inner world, and the Ascendant the way you enter situations and how others first read you.

Birth time matters. Without it, planetary signs usually stay correct, but the Ascendant and house placements can shift significantly — so confirm the time from an official record when you can.

How to read a natal chart

Interpretation works in three layers. First the sign a planet occupies — the style of that energy. Then the house — the area of life where it shows up. Finally the aspects between planets: conjunctions, trines and sextiles describe flow, while squares and oppositions mark tension and the places where growth happens.

The balance of elements (fire, earth, air, water) and modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable) summarises the chart's overall temperament. A dominant or missing element is a strong clue about natural tendencies and what a person keeps trying to compensate for.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to understand themselves more clearly, decode repeating relationship patterns, spot professional strengths, or simply learn astrology. Every advanced technique — transits, solar returns, progressions — is built on top of the natal chart.

Frequently asked questions

Is the natal chart calculator free?

Yes. You can calculate your natal chart and see the planet, house and aspect tables for free. A personalised in-depth reading requires an account.

What if I don't know my birth time?

12:00 is used as a default. Planetary signs are usually still accurate, but the rising sign and house placements will not be reliable.

Which house system is used?

Placidus is the default. You can switch between Whole Sign, Koch, Equal, Regiomontanus, Campanus and Porphyry.
