2026 Eclipses: which house, which closure, which beginning

Eclipses are New Moons and Full Moons that happen close to the Moon's nodes. Unlike an ordinary lunation, their effect doesn't stay confined to a single month — it can stretch out for up to six months, and they tend to bring events that make you feel like 'the decision was taken out of your hands.'

The four eclipses of 2026

• February 17, 2026 — Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius (~28°): a closure-and-beginning theme around community, future plans, and technology. Since it lands on the final degree of Aquarius, the sense of a cycle ending is especially strong.
• March 3, 2026 — Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo (~12°): work, health, routine, and the body. Whatever arrangement you've been dragging along finally breaks open here; it's usually the 'I can't keep going like this' moment.
• August 12, 2026 — Total Solar Eclipse in Leo (~20°): identity, visibility, creativity, and matters of the heart. A new stage opens up; it's visible in totality along the Spain–Iceland line.
• August 28, 2026 — Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces (~5°): letting go, forgiveness, setting boundaries. An emotional account gets closed.

How to read an eclipse in your own chart

There's one rule: whatever house the eclipse degree falls into for you, that's the subject. Leo 20° in your 10th house points to career; in your 7th house, relationships; in your 4th house, home and family. Open your natal chart in the Charts section and check which house the eclipse degree sits in — that alone gets you eighty percent of the reading.

Second rule: if the eclipse touches one of your own natal planets within 3 degrees, that year won't pass by quietly for you.

An eclipse doesn't break something; it makes visible what had already rotted.

What to do, what not to do

• Don't make big decisions on the day of the eclipse itself; wait a few days for the dust to settle.
• Take the news that arrives during eclipse week seriously, as a sign — that doesn't mean delaying your reaction, but you can delay taking action.
• Look at what happens on the same axis six months later; eclipses work in pairs.

Eclipse families and the eighteen-month rhythm

The nodes stay in one pair of signs for about eighteen months, so eclipses arrive in series along the same axis. Across that series two opposite houses of your chart keep working: one empties while the other fills.
